Yorwaste are looking for a Trainee Plant Operative to join our team – an opportunity perfect for someone eager for a hands-on, fulfilling role in an organisation dedicated to enhancing community safety.

As part of the team at Thirsk Waste Transfer Station, you will learn to maintain all aspects of the mobile plant, accurately record site information such as hours and fuel, and work efficiently for both the client and the business.
We seek a practical, motivated, and enthusiastic individual who will train to work independently on-site, ensuring a safe and positive working environment. Each day brings new tasks, ranging from machine servicing and customer service to housekeeping to maintain a clean site.
Upon successful completion of all training, the successful candidate will advance to the role of Plant Operative, with an hourly rate of £14.25, which includes some weekend work.
