Sad Unloved Christmas Trees at Harewood
Special thanks to Karen for going the extra mile and written a poem for the photo!
Two little trees, both bent and low,
Their branches bare, no lights to show.
The first one sighed, “I once had a star,
Now I’m just waiting, not going far.”
The second wept, “I used to gleam,
But now I’m lost in a winter dream.”
No tinsel, no lights to make me bright,
Just shadows and stillness in the silent night.
So someone please tell me why,
We have been left out here to die,
We shone bright for Christmas Day
You loved us then so this I’ll say,
Next time please recycle me,
Or buy yourselves a paper tree.

Lynsey Birch
(Transport Supervisor)
Lynsey expresses her thanks to the drivers!
On Sunday 6th January many of the HWRC sites across North Yorkshire were unable to open due to snowy conditions.
Our drivers however managed to battle themselves through these weather conditions to make sure the job got done to make sure the HWRC sites were cleared for when they were able to reopen!
