“We are proud of what we do, we are proud to be Yorwaste”
We would like to welcome someone who can confidently interact with customers and visitors, ensuring a helpful and positive experience. Often the first point of contact for site visitors, you will be responsible for weighing and measuring vehicles and containers, and accurately recording information onto our database.
You will be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail and precision in handling data processing and entry, using software such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with additional software such as PurGo is desirable, but we are happy to provide dedicated training.
In addition to ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, you will manage purchase orders, resolve queries with the accounts department, and maintain high standards of housekeeping. You may attend meetings, provide cover for team members, and support out-of-hours requirements.
This part-time, temporary position mainly involves working approximately 3 days per week, with occasional weekends and bank holidays and possibility of additional hours.
Due to the site’s location, and the option to cover holiday and sickness at nearby sites, a driver’s licence and access to personal transport will be important, as the site is not accessible by public transport. If you’re ready to make a real impact, we would really like to hear from you.
