Yorwaste is currently seeking a Recycling Operative to join our dedicated team at the Harewood Whin Transfer Station. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring compliance with waste management procedures while upholding cleanliness and adhering to health and safety standards.

As a Recycling Operative your responsibilities will include maintaining our plant equipment and ensuring the efficient running of picking-line operations, while embracing and encouraging a culture of safety and efficiency throughout the site.

Effective communication with team members will be essential as you address concerns, identify hazards, and strive to enhance our picking processes for greater effectiveness and efficiency. We value attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality inputs and outputs, along with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Candidates should demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to evolving requirements, accompanied by excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Flexibility is key as the role may require supporting other sites as necessary. Given the location of our site, access to personal transport and the ability to drive are advantageous in the absence of public transportation.
