Responding to the Finance Business Partner, you will work alongside colleagues to ensure financial control is maintained for our commercial business segments. Responsible for the financial administration and production of the management accounts for these operations, you must be driven, positive and thrive as part of a successful team.
You will play a vital role in our operations, working closely with our wider team including credit control, payroll and the operational business. We will offer support with your studies as part of a training agreement, to help promote and encourage your learning. This can include paid days off for exams, allowances for books and study materials, and registrations fees.

Benefits
In return, we are offering a salary between £25,000 and £30,000 depending on your current qualifications, along with 20 days annual holiday plus bank holiday entitlements, rising to 25 days with 5 years’ service.
This is a permanent role working full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The main office location will be Northallerton and Thirsk, however we do currently operate a hybrid-working model allowing working from home and other office locations as part of your working week.

Qualifications
To succeed in this position, it is essential that the successful candidate have;
- Current progression with AAT and/or actively wanting to progress this to a professional accountancy qualification. If AAT is already passed, actively studying towards CIMA, ACA or ACCA would be an advantage.
- Great knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including advanced level Excel.
- Knowledge of Financial Operations.
- Understanding of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Knowledge of a modern financial system, such as Sage 200.
- High numeracy skill level and attention to detail.
- Proactive approach to evaluating numbers and ensuring they reflect reality.
It would be desirable for the successful candidate to have knowledge of PurGo and PowerBi applications, as well as the production of management accounts and having achieved level 3 AAT. Knowledge of the waste and recycling industry is advantageous, however not a criteria for this position.
