Are you a driven and focussed administrative professional, capable of supporting our team with a positive and constructive approach? We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join Yorwaste in a department focused on providing an effective, comprehensive and professional HR service for our employees.

To be successful in this new role you will have a good understanding of administrative function and a keen eye for detail. You will be able to work with a caseload of HR related issues, including employee sickness, recruitment and contracts. You will be responsible for your own administrative duties, able to demonstrate great organisational skills, as well as confidence when interacting with managers and employees.

This role will involve a mixture of working from home and our Northallerton office, enabling you to build excellent working relationships across all areas of the business. You will be a self-motivated person with experience working to timeframes and prioritising workload, while supporting a positive working environment where we all succeed as one team.

About You

As a successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate the following;

  • Ability to confidently communication with managers and employees
  • Familiarity of HR competencies, legislation and professional development
  • Experience handling a varied workload in a pressured environment
  • Good demonstrable IT skills, including Microsoft Office suite and Adobe
  • Ability to present, advise and listen with groups and individuals
  • Great organisation and time management
  • Experience supporting and working well within a team.

It will be seen as desirable as a candidate to demonstrate experience working in a professional Human Resources function, with experience of generalist projects such as project management and casework.

This permanent, full-time role offers a hybrid working model where your working week will be split between working efficiently from home, and from our Northallerton office.
