MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
The successful post-holder(s) will work together providing a service collecting bulky waste and loose cardboard on behalf of City of York Council, delivering and collecting wheelie bins from Yorwaste’s commercial customers, and undertaking a loose bag round in Hawes. Alongside this, the post-holder(s) will be required to undertake any other duties expected of the role which will support Yorwaste’s Transport and Service Delivery teams in ensuring we provide the best possible service to our shareholders and customers.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES, TASKS & DUTIES:
To drive the vehicle safely and in accordance with the law.
To look after vehicles and ensure they are not subjected to unnecessary damage
To carry out thorough daily walk around check, reporting any defects to relevant person.
To keep the wagon in a clean and tidy condition.
Ensure accidents are kept to a minimum
Report any accidents immediately to Service delivery manager.
To communicate with planner regularly, enabling us to provide an excellent customer service.
To action paperwork efficiently and effectively, raising any concerns with planner
To obtain signatures from customers for services provided.
To be aware of service schedule and help ensure vehicle is presented to relevant service provider.
To undertake any reasonable tasks as detailed by the Service Delivery Team

QUALIFICATIONS
Essential Full UK driving licence
