Would you like to make an impact in an evolving Marketing team, using knowledge and understanding of content writing and marketing strategy to take ownership of a new role? Yorwaste are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic person to join the team as Digital Marketing Executive, at an exciting time in the company’s growth and development.
About You
You will consider yourself a wordsmith, taking pride and passion in writing engaging and positive content across a wide range of channels, for all to read. As a self-starter, you will take ownership of this new role to make it your own, confidently building relationships with the wider team including senior management and customers.
This role will be varied, with no day the same. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker, with the ability to connect to a variety of different stakeholders through written content. Be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of language, tone of voice, and interpretation, as well as an appreciation of marketing strategies and tools. A willingness to develop their understanding of all areas of the business, from our commercial transport team to our recycled compost range, and the desire to drive engagement with local businesses and communities.
You will have a degree or equivalent qualification in an area including marketing, business, English writing or media. Focusing more on the transferable skills you can demonstrate, rather than the title of your qualification, you will be provided with the support and training opportunities at Yorwaste to set you up for success.

Our Offer
Yorwaste are pleased to offer a salary of £24,000 to £26,000 per year, depending on experience, plus company benefits, discounts, and pension. This role also offers 20 days’ annual holiday, plus bank holiday entitlement, rising to 25 days’ with 5 years’ service.
This permanent, full-time role offers a hybrid working model where your working week will be split between working efficiently from home, and from our Northallerton office. During the initial training and probationary period, it will be expected to spend more time in the office in order to meet and understand the team and build a positive, personal foundation for your career with us.
You may be expected to work from our other offices and visit our sites to gain an important understanding of our business. Therefore, access to personal transport would be advantageous, as most sites are in rural locations not accessible via public transport.
