Would you consider yourself a confident people-person with a keen eye for detail? In this role you will be working at our Thirsk site, accurately recording information onto our database while assisting with weighing and measuring vehicles and containers.

A confident speaker, happy to interact with customers and contractors, you will often be the first point of contact to anyone visiting our sites. You are someone who would want you to take pride in your work, with great attention to detail, wanting to provide a helpful, safe and positive experience for our customers.
You will be proficient using IT systems including Microsoft Office suite, and understand how to create reports, raise purchase orders, and process financial data. It would be desirable if you have experience using a system such as PurGo, however we are happy to provide dedicated training to the right candidate.
You may currently be in a customer service role, seeking more variety in your day-to-day duties, or would like to build on your administrative skills without stepping away from regular customer interaction. If you feel that this role could be for you, we would love to hear from you.

What we can offer
In return, we are offering an hourly rate of £11.50 per hour, working a minimum of 40 hours per week. We offer extra allowance for working occasional Sundays and Bank Holidays, and there may be opportunity for additional hours. We can offer 20 days’ holiday per year, plus bank holidays, increasing to 25 days’ with 5 years continuing employment.
This is a permanent role working 5 days’ out of 7 including occasional weekends and bank holidays, therefore availability over this schedule is important. Working at our Thirsk Waste Transfer Station, you may be required to cover holiday, sickness and illness on other nearby sites, therefore holding a driver’s licence and having access to personal transport is an advantage.
