Reuse

If a waste can be reused in its existing form without the need for special processing, it can have additional environmental and economical benefits to customers.

Collections of waste from both Household Waste Recycling Centres and businesses can provide quality materials to alternative markets. The materials collected by Yorwaste are sent to a checking and repair centre, prior to them being sold on as used products. Currently Yorwaste collects a wide range of wastes for reuse including:

Scart TVs, computer monitors, Dyson vacuum cleaners, washing machines, tumble dryers, hi-fi systems, videos, DVD and CD players, mobile phones and power tools.
