Who are SJB Recycling?

SJB Recycling, a subsidiary company of Yorwaste, has provided green waste composting services for many local authorities and commercial customers for a large number of years. We operate across five sites in Northampton, Dewsbury, Leeds, Rotherham and Doncaster. We also provide wood recycling services from a facility in Bradford.

Local authority composting solutions

We work with the local authorities to resolve issues such as potential contamination of the collected materials and have successfully composted all that has been delivered by the councils during the time that we have worked with them. With the successive rollouts of kerbside collection schemes, there has been an increased need to compost more and more green waste and to identify local outlets for the processing of the material. We use facilities that meet appropriate regulations for undertaking open-windrow composting. All our sites are fully permitted and are operated to high environmental standards, We have achieved ISO14001 and 9001 certification for all our composting sites and we process green waste in line with the PAS 100 quality protocol, or equivalent.
