Electrical Recycling

Our electrical recycling facility was set up to tackle the complex issues arising from the WEEE regulations, which sets collection, recycling and recovery targets for all types of electrical and electronic wastes.

We have recently installed a state-of-the-art fully-automated cutting machine to process cathode ray tubes (CRTs) at the Hessay facility. The machine is the first of its kind to be used in Yorkshire and the North East. It can process some 80 CRTs per hour.

The TVs and monitors are manually disassembled into their various components and the stripped tubes are then mechanically cut. This separates the hazardous and non-hazardous fractions of glass, which are sent to reprocessing back into CRT glass.

Environmentally Friendly Recycling

Computers, hard drives and CRT/TV monitors for example, can no longer be discarded indiscriminately to landfill and must now be treated in a way that is environmentally and ecologically friendly. We ensure that all your equipment is recycled in an environmentally friendly manner and our procedures surpass current environmental legislation. All material has full traceability compliant with the Duty of Care, supported with Confidential Destruction Certification, Waste Transfer Notes and Hazardous Waste Consignment Notes if applicable for all equipment collected.

Data Protection

We completely destroy all hard drives, media, CD's, tapes and storage devices ensuring secure destruction of all data and provide you with secure Confidential Data Destruction Certification.
