National Recycling Awards
Yorwaste is pleased to announce that we have been short-listed in the finals of the National Recycling Awards.
We are one of 9 companies short-listed in the category of best health and safety initiative.
This is for our Yorsafety initiative, which has had a major impact on the way our staff approach health and safety.
The finals of the National Recycling Awards will take place in the Hilton Hotel, Park Lane, London, on 28th June.
Organised by industry publication, Materials Recycling World, the awards recognise and celebrate best practice and innovation in recycling and waste management.
Yorwaste’s Head of Risk Management, Peter Frankish, said: “These awards are considered the pinnacle within the waste management industry, so we are delighted to have been short-listed.
“We are very proud of our Yorsafety initiative, which has been a resounding success, with a dramatic improvement being made in regard to health and safety within Yorwaste
“Accidents/incidents are at an all-time low and staff we are very proactive when it comes to health and safety, looking at things with a preventative attitude at all times.”
This year’s National Recycling Awards will include live judging, talks and debates.
